Josephine Mick
Pitjantjatjara artist and traditional healer (Ngangkari) from the APY Lands in South Australia. Born in 1955 near Pukatja, she creates vibrant paintings inspired by her ancestral stories and healing experiences. Her work often explores Dreamings like Kungka Kutjara (Two Women) and Wati Tjakura (Skink Lizard), using bold colours and expressive patterns. Josephine paints with APY Studio Adelaide and has exhibited alongside her daughter, artist Sally Scales, celebrating their family’s artistic and cultural legacy.
