Abie Loy Kemarre

Abie Loy Kemarre (b. 1972) is an Eastern Anmatyerre artist from Utopia, NT, and granddaughter of renowned painter Kathleen Petyarre. She began painting in 1994, first depicting her inherited Bush Hen Dreaming in fine dot “maps,” later expanding to Sandhills, Awelye (women’s ceremonial designs), and Bush Medicine Leaves. Her work blends tradition with bold, abstract forms and is held in major Australian and international collections.
